Kaffe er den nye vinen?

Snublet over denne artikkelen i New York Times, med overskriften “Do I detect…Joe?”. Å imponere en forretnings kontakt, venner eller en date med vin kunnskap kan gi fordeler. Å gjøre det samme med kaffe er en helt annen ting!


Folk blir mer og mer klar over hva de putter i seg og hvorfor skulle det være annerledes med kaffe? Eller te? Eller noe annet du spiser, drikker eller innhalerer?

Det er fascinerende for meg at folk har interesse og kunnskap til å gjøre kaffesmakinger. Jeg mener, jeg kan smake forskjellen mellom billig kaffe fra frosne pods og ekte, nymalte kaffebønner. Men that’s it for meg. Et god hjelpemiddel for kaffesmakinger er Flavor Wheel, lik vinsmakernes Aroma hjul.

Jeg har stor respekt for folk som Erin Meister og Daniel Humphries for å prøve å gjøre folk mer oppmerksomme og beviste på kaffe som et produkt!

Men jeg tror jeg fortsatt kommer til å satse på vin kunnskap for min fremtidige stevnemøter…
